SAINTS have confirmed they completed the signing of Daouda Traore from OGC Nice, with the midfielder moving to Valenciennes on loan for the season.
Traoré, 18, who has come through the youth ranks with his club in France and made two appearances for the first team, has signed a long-term contract with Saints.
Having completed his move, the France under-17 international will now head back to his homeland to spend the 2024/25 campaign with Valenciennes in France’s Championnat National.
A statement added: "We look forward to monitoring Daouda’s progress with Valenciennes and welcome him to the Southampton and Sport Republic family."
