SAINTS defender Yukinari Sugawara has been nominated for the 2024/25 season's first Premier League goal of the month award.
The 24 year old Japanese international scored his side's only goal of August in added time of their 3-1 defeat at Brentford on Saturday.
Sugawara finished first time across Bees goalkeeper Mark Flekken after Adam Lallana headed down a chipped Tyler Dibling ball into the penalty box.
Eight of the best strikes in August have been shortlisted for the goal of the month award, with supporters voting to help decide who wins.
