SOUTHAMPTON FC Women have confirmed that Atlanta Primus has joined fellow Championship side Charlton Athletic on a season-long loan deal.
The 27 year old has made the switch to the London club to spend the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign on loan.
Primus, a Jamaican international, made 14 league appearances during her first season on the south coast having joined from London City Lionesses.
She did not feature in either of Saints' first two games of the season and now joins Charlton, who started the season with back-to-back wins.
Primus is following in the footsteps of her father Linvoy Primus who started his career at Charlton Athletic and also came back to the club on loan from Portsmouth in 2008.
A statement from Saints added: "The club wishes Atlanta all the best during her loan spell and will continue to monitor her progress."
Primus' departure follows the arrival of Lucy Watson, who joined on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea last week.
England youth intentional Watson, 20, could make her Saints debut against Blackburn Rovers at St Mary's on Sunday.
The winger spent last season on loan at Championship winners Crystal Palace having recovered from a long-term injury.
Allen's side will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season with a win over Rovers - who are yet to score a point this season.
