SAINTS are set to host Championship side Stoke City in the Carabao Cup fourth round next month.
Round four ties are set to be played midweek commencing 28 October, with Tuesday and Wednesday evenings slated for matches.
Matches that finish level after 90 minutes in the first five rounds of the competition will go straight to penalties.
Russell Martin's side reached the fourth round by dispatching Championship outfit Cardiff City and fellow Premier League team Everton.
Stoke beat Fleetwood on penalties last Tuesday evening to advance having drawn 1-1 with the League Two side in regular time.
Narcís Pelach's side currently sit 17th in the Championship having earned six points from their first six games.
Saints beat Stoke in their away fixture last season but fell to a 1-0 defeat at St Mary's in April courtesy of a goal from Tyrese Campbell.
