EVERY word Saints boss Ivan Juric said after his side's 3-1 defeat at home to Newcastle United in the Premier League, having taken the lead.
]Are you happy with how your team battled, despite not being quite good enough?
IJ: Yeah, I think we gave everything that we got and it was some crucial moment like a penalty and that was in a really good moment. It's not easy to play against Newcastle, but it wasn't enough.
In three of your last five games you've taken the lead but lost, but how do you assess that?
IJ: It was a crucial moment, a penalty I think. For me it wasn't a penalty, it was in a very good moment for us. We scored a goal and we moved the ball well and this moment I think changed the game a little bit.
What did the officials and referees say about that decision?
IJ: No, I just saw it after the game and for me it wasn't a penalty.
What about mentality when one goal goes in it seems to be followed by another one?
IJ: We have to say that the second goal, I saw the technical quality of the Newcastle player, incredible. Sometimes you have to accept this, the pass, control, shoot, it was like really good quality, high quality.
The players have experienced VAR controversy all year - is it difficult for them?
IJ: No, it happened other times, in other games and in this moment it seems everything is going wrong. Even if sometimes we perform well, it's not enough.
How difficult is it without Kamaldeen, Dibling and Ramsdale?
IJ: I think that with Kamaldeen and Tyler Dibling, we found our way a little bit of playing. We had these two guys against Swansea and Manchester United, we lost them. Now we will see the progression with their injuries.
Do you think Kamaldeen and Ramsdale will be available next week?
IJ: I hope so.
How impressed are you by the fans who continue to support the club?
IJ: Incredible. Like I said before, the guys have to appreciate that a lot. They fight really, really hard every game.
