MANAGER Ivan Juric backed new loan signing Albert Gronbaek to "do great" at Saints as he revealed the Dane's best position in his tactics.
Juric believes loanee Gronbaek, 23, will be at his most comfortable playing a similar role to 20 year old current Saints star Mateus Fernandes.
The Portuguese midfielder started one match - Crystal Palace in December - in the double-pivot but has otherwise been deployed in the front three.
Juric's assessment of Gronbaek, who has arrived on loan from Stade Rennes with an option to buy, suggests he will also operate behind the striker.
"I think the best position for him is the position of Mateus Fernandes," Juric told the Daily Echo, speaking ahead of Gronbaek's first appearance.

"He can play even forward or even back as he played sometimes for the national team but I think where he's expressing himself the best is the position of Mateus."
Gronbaek had made his name playing as a left-sided central midfielder for Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt, where he scored 30 goals in 88 games.
French Ligue 1 outfit Rennes spent over £10million to acquire him last summer but manager Jorge Sampaoli revealed he asked to leave this month.
Having scored just two goals in 18 appearances in France, Saints boss Juric backs Gronbaek to rediscover some of the form that has earned him international status.
"Of course it's a different standard but he played in the national team and he did some good games. Sometimes players are like (Kamaldeen) Sulemana," he said.
"They go to one place and cannot express themselves, and then maybe something changes and they are good. I think he's a good player and he will do great here."
Gronbaek is likely to make his Saints debut during this weekend's trip to fellow relegation favourites Ipswich Town, on Saturday, February 1.
