CHELSEA inflicted Southampton's second 4-0 defeat in the space of a week, and Ivan Juric's side again had Aaron Ramsdale to thank for keeping the score down.
The Blues had the game won, thanks to goals from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto and Levi Colwill, by the time Marc Cucurella scored in the second half.
The Chelsea left-back was free inside the box after a sharp counter-attack, again highlighting the high-risk nature of Juric's tactics.

Starters
Aaron Ramsdale - 6.
Produced a brilliant save to deny Cole Palmer but will be frustrated with Pedro Neto’s near-post strike. Kept the score down with his six saves.
Came back into the starting lineup for the first time since the defeat at Forest. Looks devoid of confidence - which could be said about any of these players.
James Bree - 5.
The better of the three centre-backs that started the game and was front-footed but forced off at the break.
Armel Bella-Kotchap - 4.
Started well with key interventions but was exposed when Chelsea players turned at him. Did not track Colwill for Chelsea's third. His first 90 minutes at Saints since April 2023.
Joe Aribo - 4.
Lost his battle against Cole Palmer but escaped punishment because the England international fluffed his chances. Not a centre-back.
Kyle Walker-Peters - 4.
Struggling to remember anything he did, again. Just 15 passes before being forced off on the hour mark.
Flynn Downes - 4.
Commanding in the first 20 minutes with big tackles but handed Chelsea the ball for the second goal and never recovered. Subbed off on 83 minutes.
Came back into the starting lineup and should have done better to stop Nkunku at the back post for the opening goal.
Mateus Fernandes - 5.
Did a lot of running and only Joe Aribo (seven) recovered the ball more than he did (six). Was fouled three times, more than any other player.
Kamaldeen Sulemana - 5.
The only Saints player with a spark. Initially had the beating of players but lacked the next bit. Had the fewest touches (31) of any player who played 90 minutes. Great ball in for Onuachu.
Paul Onuachu - 4.
Denied from a good chance but headed too close to the goalkeeper. Audibly frustrated by his lack of quality service once again.
Taylor Harwood-Bellis - 5.
Back from injury at half-time. Saints looked better when he was on the pitch but that could be because Chelsea had the game won in the first half.
Ryan Manning - 5.
Better suited to playing down the left than Walker-Peters is. Had two efforts from range, the second was blocked and Chelsea scored from the resulting counterattack.
Tyler Dibling - 4.
Failed to make an impact from the bench as his struggles continued. Just nine touches in 30 minutes of football. Does not fit with Juric's style of play.
Cameron Archer - N/A.
Came on 20 minutes later than he initially expected. Played seven minutes and touched the ball four times.
Welington - N/A.
Replaced a tired Sugawara as the clock ticked into additional time. Impossible to judge his performance.
