SAINTS forward Cameron Archer is the early bookies' favourite to win the Championship Golden Boot this season.
Archer, 23, does appear to be new boss Will Still's current starting striker, having found the net in three of their five pre-season friendlies.
The former Aston Villa prospect, who has scored 18 goals in 40 career Championship appearances, is priced at 13/2.
Fellow Saints forwards Adam Armstrong (10/1) and Ross Stewart (13/1) sit in the top four, with Ipswich's George Hirst rounding out the favourites at 9/1.
Armstrong, 28, fired 21 goals during the 2023/24 Championship season, and three more in the play-offs, as Saints were promoted back to the Premier League.

Stewart, 29, also has a strong goal-to-game ratio in the second tier, having scored 10 in 13 appearances for Sunderland before being blighted by injury.
Summer signing Damion Downs, who scored in his first pre-season appearance, is priced at 22/1 while Ben Brereton Diaz is at 66/1.
