FORMER Saints prospect Dom Ballard scored his first Leyton Orient goal as they secured a late win over Port Vale on Saturday.
Ballard scored at the end of the first half to give the O's the lead for the first time in what transpired to be a 3-2 win at Vale Park.
It was the perfect start for the 20 year old, who left Saints permanently on deadline day, ending his 12-year stint at the club, having joined aged eight.
Ballard previously scored on his debut for Saints in the Carabao Cup against Cambridge United and found the net in his second Orient game.

He also found the net early in his loan stint at Reading, which was cut short by injury and his spell with Blackpool, where he struggled to establish himself.
Ballard scored 33 goals in 38 matches for the under-21s, and 27 goals in 34 games for the under-18s, lifting league silverware in both age groups.
Fellow academy graduate Princewill Ehibhatiomhan, who is on loan at Swindon Town, also scored on Saturday, to help his side secure a 3-1 win over Barrow.
The 19 year old forward came off the bench to score his third senior goal in seven games for Ian Hollway's side as they temporarily sat top of League Two.
