SAINTS technical director Johannes Spors is reportedly 'a main target' for Juventus as they look to appoint a new sporting director.
The Italian giants are currently in the midst of a shakeup to their technical structure, sitting seventh in Serie A after seven matches of the new season.
Spors, who arrived at St Mary's in February, leads at Saints and Sport Republic, hiring manager Will Still and overseeing the summer recruitment.
Saints are currently 18th in the Championship with just two wins in their first 11 games, following a 3-1 defeat to Bristol City on Tuesday.
However, Sky Sports in Switzerland reports that Juventus are 'pushing' to make Spors their new sporting director, with preliminary contacts made.
They add that Spors appears as one of the favourites, but that other names may still be circulating with a decision expected in the coming weeks.
The Bianconero club is said to want to bring in a director with international profile and knowledge of Italian football. Spors was chief at Genoa.
At 43 years old, Spors has also built his reputation in Germany (RB Leipzig), the Netherlands (Vitesse Arnhem), and leading 777 Group globally.
