SAINTS have announced the signing of striker Lewis Bailey, who joins the club's academy from Stoke City, after signing his first professional contract.
Bailey, 17, arrives from the Potters and will initially link up with Andrew Surman's under-18s side, who sit seventh in the league.
Bailey has impressed for the Potters since he joined their academy in 2024, establishing himself as a goalscorer for their under-18s side.
He has since made his under-21s debut and has featured several times in Premier League 2, playing three times this season.
"I feel like it's a good setup here, everyone I've met so far has been very welcoming, and I can't wait to start playing," said Bailey.
"Southampton has a really good academy, a really good coaching set up, and I feel like this is the place for me to develop to my best.
Director of group talent strategy, Andy Goldie, added: "Lewis has a profile we've been keen to add to our academy pathway.
"His physical stature and athleticism give him strong foundations to influence the game both offensively and without the ball.
"His development over the past two years has been impressive, and we're looking forward to building on that progress as he continues his development within our academy."
