SAINTS head coach Tonda Eckert issued a fresh update on Jay Robinson, with the injured forward expected to return to action soon.
The 18 year old's last appearance came in the derby at Portsmouth in January, though he was on the bench at Stoke City a week later.
Robinson has played 25 times in the Championship this season, scoring against Ipswich Town in November and at QPR in Eckert's first match as boss.
The young winger has been sidelined with a quad injury in recent weeks, but boss Eckert expects him to be available for full team training soon.
Ahead of facing Sheffield Wednesday, he said: "He's looking good. He's had some minor issues with his quad, and now he slowly gets back on the pitch.

"I'm sure that he will be available for big, big parts of the season. Yes, it's tough for him, especially because at the very beginning, he was training.
"He looked okay, but then he felt something, and then he had to drop back out. We tried again, but he dropped back out of training again.
"But I think for now we're on a good way, and I think it's not going to last too long until we see him back on the pitch again," added Eckert.
Defender Mads Roerslev has been ruled out for the season by Achilles surgery, while backup goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is the only other absentee.
He underwent surgery on a wrist injury just over two weeks ago and was expected to be out for at least a fortnight. The 36 year old remains sidelined.
"I still expect that it's going to be a couple more weeks," said Eckert. "Surgery has gone well, and we're in the middle of the process of having him back."
