BUNDESLIGA club Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly monitoring the availability of Saints defender Joshua Quarshie ahead of the summer.

The 21 year old centre-back signed for Saints from Hoffenheim for around £3million last year, but has failed to become a starting player for the side.

Technical director Johannes Spors hoped Quarshie would make an instant impact, while he also hired recruitment boss Tim Lederer from Hoffenheim.

Quarshie, who is six-foot six-inches tall and one of the quickest players in Germany, has only started 11 of the 39 Championship matches so far.

Quarshie spent the international break with Germany's under-21s, keeping clean sheets in qualifying games against Northern Ireland and Greece.

German outlet Bild report that Bundesliga Frankfurt are monitoring Quarshie, as he is on a shortlist of potential defensive reinforcements.

Albert Riera's Frankfurt are seventh in the top flight of German football, having competed in the Champions League's league phase this season.

Caspar Jander has also been linked with interest from German clubs this summer, having arrived at Saints from FC Nuremberg for £10.5m in 2025.
