DAILY ECHO COMMENT RUPERT Lowe yesterday resigned as Saints chairman for the second time …... paving the way for thousands of staway fans to return to cheer on Saints in their ultra-crucial game against Charlton tomorrow.

All season we have been told that thousands of fans have been staying away from home games in protest at Lowe and Michael Wilde.

But now they have gone, and there are no excuses.

The fans who have stayed away have been criticised by those who have continued to attend games.

Lowe’s presence at St Mary’s caused a divide between Saints fans for that reason. But the moment Lowe and Wilde resigned, so the fanbase should have been reunited again.

Daily Echo: Save Our Saints - Let us know what you are doing

Reunited in a bid to save Saints – from relegation, and from potential oblivion.

The Daily Echo today repeats the call we made earlier this week to fill every single seat inside St Mary’s tomorrow.

We urge as many supporters as possible to produce as much noise as possible to give Mark Wotte and his players the best chance of victory.

Rupert Lowe’s departure can galvanise the Saints fans into coming together again as one to create a cauldron of noise.

By the end of the day yesterday, Saints had sold 21,000 tickets for the vital match against the Addicks.
