SAINTS were denied a pre-season victory by one of their non-league neighbours for the second game running last night after conceding a last minute goal.

Saints looked to be heading for a comfortable victory against AFC Totton at Testwood Park last night after going 2-0 up with nine minutes to go after an Ian Richardson own goal and Callum McNish’s close range finish.

But to their immense credit Southern Division 1 South & West side Totton never accepted defeat and staged a rousing late fight-back against their League One visitors.

First Stags striker Mark Osman halved the deficit with seven minutes left.

And then substitute Dean Faithfull capped the comeback when he grabbed the equaliser with just seconds left to deny the visitors victory, just as Eastleigh winger Tony Taggart did in Saints' pre-season opener on Saturday.
