LEE Holmes is determined to force his way back into the Saints team, declaring that he “owes the supporters”.
The 22-year-old winger has made just two appearances, both as a late substitute, under Alan Pardew this season.
While some players in his position might be looking for an escape route, Holmes instead plans to stay and fight.

His representative, Paul Holmes, said: “Lee’s aim is to force his way back into Alan Pardew’s reckoning for the first team.
“He had a really good couple of days of training out in Spain and the niggling injuries that had been bothering him a bit in the past are now well behind him.
“He is feeling strong and back to his best.”
Since moving to St Mary’s on a free transfer from Derby in June 2008, Holmes has endured a miserable run of injuries.
