Silverstone Rally School Lady Quest winner Clare Rhodes will soon be back in action in her MG ZR car.
The Southampton-based driver, pictured, competes in round six of the British Trial and Rally Drivers Association Forest Rally Series, the Dukeries Rally, on Saturday, June 17.
Rhodes, who had no previous motorsport experience before winning the Lady Quest scholarship, has taken part in four rallies this season. It all started when she beat off competition from nine other finalists to win the £35,000 Silverstone Rally School Lady Quest sponsorship package last year.
Providing the 27-year-old makes it to the finish line, she will achieve her target to upgrade from a National B licence to a National A before taking part in her final event in Swansea next month.
"I can't wait to get back in the car after a long break," Rhodes said. "However, I'm also sad that it's one of my last rallies under the scholarship unless I can raise some more sponsorship to do the Woodpecker Stages Rally later in the year."
