SAINTS bid to dent one of the best home records in English professional football this weekend as they bid for the win which could take them into the play-offs.
Outside of Premier League champions Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge fortress, there has been no tougher ground to win at since the start of last season than the one Nigel Adkins’ men visit on Saturday.
Huddersfield have lost just twice in the league at the Galpharm Stadium going back to the beginning of the 2009/10 campaign.
Champions Norwich were the only side to come away with three points last season scoring three late goals to win 3-1 – while Bristol Rovers snatched an injury-time win earlier this month.
Only Chelsea have lost fewer league games at home in the same period, with a 4-2 defeat to Manchester City in December their only blemish.
Outside of the top flight, Huddersfield’s impressive record of a mere two losses is matched by just one team – last season’s League One play-off victors Millwall.
