AFTER a battling 74 at The Berkshire, Bramshaw pro Emma Weeks will be bidding to succeed where Justin Rose, Richard Bland and Matt Blackey failed by playing in the British Open this year.
The 27-year-old, who earlier this month broke the Broadstone course record to land a place in the £350,000 Wales Ladies' Championship, continued her good form last week at pre-qualifying for the August 3-6 Weetabix Women's British Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes.
Competing in a field of 84, the St Mary's resident's two over score secured safe passage into Monday's final qualifying at St Annes Old Links, Lancashire, where the right-hander will be chasing one of only eight places available for the £1,050,000 Weetabix event.
