PREMIER League new boys QPR have made a bid for Saints winger Jason Puncheon.
And Neil Warnock’s side are believed to have offered defender Kaspars Gorkss as part of the deal.
The 29-year-old centre half made 43 appearances in all competitions for Rangers last season.
But it appears he may be surplus to requirements now that the Loftus Road outfit have reached the top flight.
Warnock seems willing to allow the Latvian international to move on, after three years with the club.
He will be hoping that offering Gorkss as part of a deal for Puncheon is enough to persuade Saints to accept QPR’s approach.
It might prove a tempting one, given that Nigel Adkins is in the market for a new centre half this summer.
