SAINTS midfielder Rudi Skacel has been named in the Actim Index Championship team of the month for September.
The team has been compiled by calculating the highest-ranked players in September from each position in the Index - the official player ratings of the Championship and Premiership.
The Index uses Actim stats to rank players according to their performance, both by position and overall.
It is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player's contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
Two additional calculations, which take account of player assists and goalkeeper's clean sheets, have been added for this season to increase the amount of variables a player is now measured by.
Championship team of month for September: Goalkeeper: Carlo Nash (Preston) Defenders: Riccardo Scimeca (Cardiff), Danny Pugh (Preston), Darren Purse (Cardiff), Elliot Ward (Coventry).
Midfielders: Rudi Skacel (Saints), Martin Devaney (Barnsley), Kevin Watson (Colchester), Carlos Edwards (Luton).
Strikers: Michael Chopra (Cardiff), Rowan Vine (Luton).
