Hampshire’s Glenn Querl has been suspended from bowling by the England and Wales Cricket Board after concerns over his bowling action.
The 24-year-old trialist from Zimbabwe has played one first class game for the county this season, in the match against Loughborough University last month.
According to the ECB, Querl had been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action on two separate occasions within a 12-month period.
His action underwent independent analysis as a result, with the subsequent report identifying that his action was not appropriate.
The ECB said he contravened rules by displaying an elbow extension in excess of the permitted 15 degrees.
Querl has been suspended from bowling with immediate effect until he has submitted a fresh independent analysis in which it is concluded he has remedied his action.
Gloucestershire’s Jack Taylor has also been suspended.
