Hampshire star Fidel Edwards took three wickets in five balls to help the Leo Lions win their first game at the Masters Champions League in Dubai.
The West Indies star bowled Paul Collingwood and then dismissed former Hampshire pair Rory Kleinveldt and Abdul Razzaq in the third of his four overs.
He finished with 4-33 after bowling Rikki Clarke in the penultimate over as Brian Lara's Lions (156-8) beat the Capricorn Commanders (130-8) by 26 runs.
In the T20 competition's opening game, Hampshire's Sean Ervine was bowled by Muttiah Muralitharan for a 19-ball 22, including a six against Saqlain Mushtaq, after conceding 43 from three overs as the Libra Legends lost to the Gemini Arabians by 78 runs.
Hampshire's Michael Carberry made a 24-ball 27, in an eight-over stand of 71 with Mahela Jayawardene, in his first game for the Sagittarius Strikers.
