Liam Dawson finished on the winning side on his Bangladesh Premier League debut.
The Hampshire all-rounder conceded 22 runs from his two overs after coming on as second change bowler.
Then Shahid Afridi, his former Hampshire teammate, took 1-12 from his four overs as the Rangpur Riders bowled out the Chittagong Vikings for 124.
The Riders chased down their target with nine wickets and five overs to spare.
