Reece Topley took his first wickets in a Hampshire shirt as the 2nd XI bowled out their Lancashire counterparts for 297 on the first day of their friendly at The Ageas Bowl.
The England bowler, who missed most of last season through injury before bowling a ball for Hampshire, finished with 2-29 from 12 overs.
Topley trapped talented opener Richard Jones lbw before bowling teenager Josh Bohannon.
Ryan Stevenson (17-6-52-3) and academy product Josh McCoy (14-2-48-3) were the pick of the bowlers.
Brad Taylor (21-7-62-1) and Tom Alsop (2-0-17-1) took the other wickets.
Academy batsman Ben Duggan was bowled for three in the fourth over of Hampshire’s reply.
Alsop (9no) and Will Smith (14no) ensured no further loss as the home side closed on 30-1.
