Hampshire are not expecting Shahid Afridi to be available for tomorrow's Friends Life t20 game against Middlesex.
The Royals were hoping Afridi would be back in time to make his first appearance of the season, alongside fellow overseas man and Melbourne Renegades teammate Glenn Maxwell, at Richmond.
But having returned to Pakistan following visa problems, he is not expected to arrive in time.
Afridi should be available for the second half of the Royals' group campaign but there are also doubts over his availability for t20 Finals Day.
Hampshire welcome back Danny Briggs from Twenty20 interantional squad duty tomorrow.
