Hampshire have submitted their T20 Champions League squad - but are not able to reveal it.
Yorkshire have made public their 15-man party for next month’s tournament in South Africa, but Hampshire insist it is up to the organisers to declare it.
The Royals were keen to snap up Shahid Afridi and Glenn Maxwell as their overseas stars before Monday’s deadline, but chairman Rod Bransgrove is unable to reveal whether they have been successful.
He said: “The Champions League rules state that the organisers have the right to announce the squads before we do, but I understand that an announcement is imminent.” Yorkshire have included David Miller as their one overseas player, but the man of the match in the Friends Life t20 final won by Hampshire last month is not available to the TYkes for the whole tournament, should they progress beyond the qualifiers.
Yorkshire: Gale, Miller, Patterson, Bairstow, Rashid, Jaques, Hodgson, Rafiq, Hannan- Dalby, Lyth, Ballance, Root, Ashraf, Wardlaw, Sidebottom.
