CRICKET: Will Edwards’ century was in vain as East Tytherley lost to fellow high fliers Calmore Sports in the Premier Division of the Taurus Hampshire Border League.

Edwards reached three figures as Tytherley posted 164, but a century stand between Darren Vann and 16-year-old Ben Johns gave Calmore victory.

Trojans tied with OTs & Romsey B at Stoneham Lane, both sides scoring 135 in their 18 overs.

There was a half-century from Trojans’ Dave Babidge and 42 from Romsey opener Paul Longland before Charlie King survived a couple of catching chances to level the scores.

Rob Newman struck 65 and took 4-10 as OTs & Romsey A defeated Highfield by 65 runs.

In Division One, leaders Cadnam continued their unbeaten start with a 24-run victory against Bramshaw.

Matt Hardy blasted a blistering 119 not out, hitting eight fours and eight sixes in a 58-ball stay.

Alex Nicholas took 5-11 as Paultons won at Hythe and Dibden.

Redlynch and Hale kept up the pressure on Cadnam with an easy win at Wellow and Plaitford.

Mottisfont A suffered their first Division 2 defeat of the season to Totton and Eling.

There was a six-run win for OTs & Romsey Academy at Michelmersh.

Euaun Wathen’s half century included four sixes and two fours as OTs posted 132 runs. Craig Hurle (36no) top scored in reply.
