Susie Bates smashed 38 and bagged two wickets as the Southern Vipers reached the Kia Super League final with a comprehensive 59-run win over Loughborough Lightning.

Vipers made 156 for four from their 20 overs at the Ageas Bowl as opener Bates was ably supported by Sara McGlashan (34 not out) and Lydia Greenway (29).

Ellyse Perry (35) and Evelyn Jones (33) offered Loughborough resistance, but they were shot out for only 97 as Linsey Smith (three for 16) and Arran Brindle (three for 24) made in-roads and Bates finished the job off.

Western Storm booked their spot in the Chelmsford final next Sunday with a six-wicket victory over Yorkshire Diamonds at Headingley.

Australia's Beth Mooney made 56 from 44 balls but the Diamonds were bowled out for 118, with Anya Shrubsole (five for 23) completing the innings with a four-wicket maiden.

West Indies batsman Stafanie Taylor (45) and New Zealand's Rachel Priest (50) put on 101 for the first wicket as Storm reached their target with 21 balls to spare.
