HAMPSHIRE FA officials have hit back at claims they hand out too lenient' suspensions that don't fit the crime of verbal and physical abuse of refeeres.

County FA officials insist their hands are tied - that they are only handing out suspensions and fines in line with guidelines passed down from the national FA at Soho Square.

And leading Hampshire referee Keith Stroud told the Daily Echo that on occasions when the county FA have issued a suspension over and above their guidelines, the national FA have told them to reduce it!
