HAMBLE boss Danny Bowers sensationally quit following the nine-man Planemakers' crushing 4-0 home defeat in their basement battle with second-bottom Ringwood.
Bowers ended his two-year tenure at Folland Park following the dismissals of Paul Vinton and Graham Mills - both for professional fouls - and a devastating result that leaves the club SEVEN points adrift at the foot of the Sydenhams Premier.
"This is a sad day for me," reflected Bowers.
"I've loved every minute of it here and I've done my very best for this football club, but this move is best for the club.
"I would also like to thank chairman Pete Mence who has been fantastic to me - but unfortunately not everyone here is singing from the same hymn sheet."
