Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has admitted he would be interested in signing Liverpool's Peter Crouch.
The England striker came off the bench last night to grab the 88th-minute equaliser which saw the Reds escape a chastening Barclays Premier League home defeat to Aston Villa - but he has struggled to establish himself in Rafael Benitez's first XI all season.
That has led to speculation over the forward's Anfield future, with Villa, Newcastle and former club Portsmouth all linked with a January move.
Redknapp, who worked with Crouch in his first stint at Fratton Park and then at Saints, said: "I like 'Crouchie' and I would take him any day of the week.
"But I just don't know whether Liverpool would be willing to sell him.
"He did a great job for me when he was at Portsmouth before and he is also a very nice lad."
