SALISBURY clinched the Sydenhams Wessex Premier League title last night with victory over Horndean.
Three second half goals gave Steve Claridge’s phoenix club - only formed last summer - a 3-0 success at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium.
Adam Kelly bundled the ball home on 59 minutes, five minutes before a silky finish from centre-half Steve Walker doubled Whites’ lead.
Ex-Saints striker Jamie White tucked home a third ten minutes from time to see the reformed club crowned champions.
The celebrations were enjoyed by a 766 crowd on a rainy night. Salisbury now have 92 points, and still have six games left.
Salisbury will be presented with the trophy on May 7 - the last day of the campaign - at home to Newport (IOW).
