Fulham have confirmed the departure of Under-18 team manager Steve Wigley, paving the way for him to become Stuart Pearce's assistant at Nottingham Forest.
It is understood that incoming manager Pearce, who will officially take charge at the Championship club on July 1, wants to make former Forest winger Wigley the first addition to his back-room team.
Wigley, 52, worked under Pearce during his successful spell in charge of the England Under-21 team and, after approaching Fulham earlier this month, the Reds are confident of concluding a deal for the pair to be reunited at the City Ground.
