Richard Bland puts his season on the line this week, as he bids to save his European Tour card in the last event of the year.
The Stoneham pro is competing in the Hong Kong Open and has promised to leave his heart and soul out on the course in his fight to retain a place on golf’s elite circuit.
Bland goes into the tournament in 118th place in the Race to Dubai season money list, needing a top 115 finish to guarantee his playing rights for 2013.
He is only about €5,000 short of that mark right now, but knows he needs a good week to ensure he keeps his card and avoids a trip to the nerve-racking last chance saloon that is qualifying school.
