Stoneham’s Richard Bland begins his 2013 European Tour season tomorrow, as he competes in the Nelson Mandela Championship.
Bland has travelled to the Royal Durban Golf Club to begin his campaign at the first available opportunity.
The event is one of two to be held in South Africa before Christmas, with the 39-year-old also scheduled to appear at next week’s Alfred Dunhill Championship, at Leopard Creek Country Club.
Bland earned his card for the coming European Tour season by claiming the last available qualification spot on the 2012 order of merit.
