A stunning free-kick from James Dobson was enough for Sutton to record their sixth win in eight league matches with a 1-0 triumph at Barnet.
United were forced into an early reshuffle when midfielder Kenny Davis was forced off through injury, but it failed to affect the U’s taking a slim advantage into the interval.
In the 36th minute, Dobson curled home what proved to be the only goal of the game from 25 yards.
Barnet’s best chance of an equaliser came on the hour when Cheye Alexander struck a shot into the sidenetting.
Shaquile Coulthirst later felt he should have been awarded a penalty, while Ashley Charles also curled just over to leave Barnet without a win in their last six matches.
