One of the most active clubs on the Solent, Hill Head sailing Club, has announced the date of their very popular annual open day.

The club, based around Hill Head harbour, welcomes potential members, young and old, to spend the day with them learning about sailing and finding out what HHSC can do to get wannabe sailors on the water.

"This is our chance to show the outside world what we do for the members and the local community," says HHSC Commodore, Luke Morrison, "and show what we love doing on and off the water as well as the opportunity to see our fantastic club and its facilities."

Visitors to the club will be able to:

  • Try a boat under the guidance of an experienced sailor
  • Watch some short course racing off the club house
  • Get a bargain at the Boat Jumble
  • Tour the club house and dinghy parks
  • Meet the Committee members and find out about Volunteering and how our club runs.
  • Watch a film taken at HHSC including photos of past and recent club events.
  • Chat with members about the different types of boats at the club
  • Have a bite to eat and a drink in the bar overlooking the Solent
  • Browse for nautical clothing in the club shop Hill Head

Sailing Club Open Day is on Sunday 27th June from 10.30am.
