Yachtsman Chris Stanmore-Major
ISLE of Wight yachtsman Chris Stanmore-Major will set sail this weekend on an epic 30,000-mile solo round-the-world race.
Just a few months after completing the Clipper Round-the-World Yacht Race, the 32-year-old from Cowes is off again, this time in the VELUX 5 OCEANS. The race, starts from La Rochelle, France, on Sunday.
Competitors will race to Cape Town, Wellington, Salvador and Charleston before returning to La Rochelle in June 2011.
