HOW sad to read a complaint about the disappearance of trees and wildlife around the Grove Road Medical Centre.

As a patient there for over 40 years I quite truthfully have not missed any of this.

I’m sure patients visiting the centre are going for advice, etc, to improve their health, many, especially the elderly with hearing and eyesight problems, so they wouldn’t miss hearing the birds or seeing the hedgerow.

I think we are very fortunate being quite near to parks etc, and the New Forest.

Parks and gardeners’ jobs with the council have been cut. Sorry, but helping old and young people with very difficult problems surely is more important than hedgerows and wildlife.

I’m very sorry if some people miss these things, but be thankful we have a caring medical centre.
