At First, we are committed to an ongoing process of customer service improvements and as part of this, we want to increase the membership of our Southampton customer panel.

We are looking for regular bus users to join the panel, in particular representatives of community groups.

Members will need to be committed to attending an evening meeting every three months. The customer panel is a group of about 10/15 bus users who get together quarterly to discuss issues they have encountered when using our services.

It is attended by a representative of Bus Users UK which is an independent body. This panel provides a direct link between customers and First.

The objective of the panel is to provide a forum for constructive change and input into strategic issues.

This aims to lead to improvements in bus services in the local community.

The customer panel is not designed to deal with one-off complaints, which will continue to be handled by our Customer Service team.
