I VERY much welcome fellow Councillor Jeremy Moulton’s suggestion for a new name for the 'former Civil Service Sports Ground' (letters May 25) and the useful role that the Echo could play in seeking views of local people.
Here are a couple of suggestions of my own: how about the Atherley Fields or Paynes Park?
I'm sure there are loads of other interesting ideas out there.
Maybe the Echo could join forces with the council in conducting a poll or referendum of local residents and the parents and pupils at St Mark's School to identify the most popular name put forward.
