NOW the election results are in and Southampton has a Labour controlled council, I would like to point out that these Labour elected councillors support a government that flooded the country with immigrants, some legal some illegal, and now we have had to reintroduce the Slavery Act.
In this century that is a backward step and shows what happens when you do not exercise control.
I shudder to think what would happen if Labour gets in again.
As an onlooker I see the country slowly getting back on its feet. In a few years under this current Government I could see us with a bright new future.
The rise of UKIP confirms what I always thought this country felt about losing its individualism, and apparently so do several other Euro countries.
ALAN BLANDFORD, Southampton.
