Having read Mr Cook's and Mr Kyrle's letters (January 5), I can appreciate that their need for proof of the existence of God has turned them away from belief for which I as a committed Christian, offer my sympathy.
Perhaps, however, they should reflect on the fact that they will never ever be able to say "Told you so".
