I THINK the person who wrote the letter about GPs (January 16) must be incredibly unlucky in his experiences.
I have had 20 years’ experience of GPs, mainly in connection with a disabled husband, and the vast majority were hard working and sympathetic.
They went to great lengths to ensure that he had the right treatment.
At my present surgery I have no difficulty in getting an appointment to see a GP and even a home visit if needed.
Sometimes a phone call from the GP is all it needs. I have not met any “disinterested”
GPs.
