NEIL FITZGERALD, Conservative candidate for Coxford Ward, stated that the Southampton Conservative Party will be increasing the number of police in the city by recruiting 100 special constables.
Surely to increase the number of police in the city you would need to recruit more officers.
Although special constables have a role to play they can not replace police on the beat.
Only UKIP will cut police paperwork and put our police back on the streets.
