As a change from the usual NHS bashing that seems to go on, I would like to thank the many people involved in my recent experience: my GP at Forest Gate surgery in Totton who originally suspected my condition; the staff at Lymington Hospital (the old one!) who carried out my ultrasound scan; the staff at Romsey hospital where I first saw my consultant; the staff on Anthony Letchworth ward, Florence Portal House (Winchester hospital) who cared for me during and after surgery.
In the space of about four months I have received the utmost caring, professional and understanding treatment which I know has given me a new lease of life.
I don't believe it has anything to do with politics - it's just basic human nature.
JESSICA MOORE, Totton.
