NOT wishing to be accused of being in any way biased but, when Yvette Cooper made her complaint in the House of Commons of “this crazy pay rise for MPs” was answered by Andrew Bridges saying: “If you are not careful Parliament will be populated by the rich, the mad and those who can’t do anything else”.
I first thought he was being ironic but in retrospect realised that is what, in the main, already exists.
