WHAT would be the outcome for the U.K. should Monsieur Hollande decide to give all those attempting to leave Calais for the U.K. ‘residency’ permit to enter France?
Would that enable the immigrants to then travel throughout the E.U., under the Schengen Agreement because they had been granted a French permit under E.U. law?
One would guess, this could kill off any attempt to regain powers from the E.U. by Mr. Cameron, as all E.U. countries would inevitably adopt the same procedure.
And, as the U.K. has the second highest population density in the world, such tactics could destroy Britain.
Just hope the scenario never unfolds. But are we prepared, should it even look as though it may happen?
Sorry for a ‘Doom and Gloom’ outlook.
