I WAS saddened but not surprised to read the article about the fly-tipping in Riverside Park.

This is obviously becoming more and more of a problem and Southampton is now known as a dirty city.

In the area where I live fly-tipping is continuous and yet no-one ever sees it dumped. The council do their best and clear the two areas every two weeks or so.

Good in one way but the tippers are convinced they are on to a good thing. After all only fools pay to have large articles removed legally.

So with the noise from the docks nearly every night, the dirty gutters and drains blocked by leaves and fly-tipping I don’t envy anyone trying to sell a house.

If anyone fancies a switch-back ride come and try Foundry Lane – plenty of bone shaking bumps along there!

Come on residents report what you see and get Millbrook and Freemantle clean and tidy.
